practical as vessel size decreases. The modern self inflating
liferaft enables life saving capability in a size small enough

prepared to respond that a rescue is needed, and where. When
visual and sound signals are inappropriate, the cell phone has no
service, the VHF radio is out of range, the HF radio or sattelite
phone is out of power, the Emengency Position Indication Radio
Beacon (EPIRB) or Personal Locator Beacon (PLB) is
ready to send a distress message via the worldwide COSPAS-SARSAT SYSTEM
(overview).

years old or newer. It will use the latest 406mhz technology. All
beacons are serviced in accordance with manufacturer's
specifications. The beacon will have passed its self test.
When you rent from LiferaftRental.com, your beacon will be
shipped direct to you (ground shipping to you is at no additional
charge). Included will be: the product manual and NOAA proof of
registration.
You will be requested to provide EMERGENCY CONTACT and either
VESSEL (for EPIRBs) or USAGE (for PLBs) information.
LiferaftRental.com updates the NOAA beacon database with your
specific information (at no charge) so that it will be directly
available to Search And Rescue.
We see reports daily on sucessful sea and land rescues with
406mhz emergency beacons using the COSPAS-SARSAT satellite
system.

An immersion suit is a heavy closed cell neoprene
suit designed to cover the entire body, except for the area of
the nose and eyes. It is designed to provide 22 lbs buoyancy, to
extend hypothermia protection, and to turn the body upright into
a stable floating position with the face above water.
They improve survival for those in a liferaft, or for those
without a liferaft. They are required equipment for a wide range
of commercial vessels. Designed to be correctly donned within two
minutes after reading the instructions.

be 2 years old or newer. It will be USCG approved meeting SOLAS
specifications. All immersion suits are serviced in accordance
with manufacturer's specifications.

additional charge). Included will be: storage bag with donning
instructions.
